Pune: MOC Cancer Care and Research Centre has announced the launch of its fifth facility in Pune, located in Baner, marking another milestone in its nationwide mission to make world-class cancer treatment more accessible and patient-centric.
With the inauguration of the Baner centre, MOC Cancer Care and Research Centre continues to build on its growing presence across Pune, following successful operations in Shivajinagar, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Swargate, and Kalyani Nagar.
The expansion reinforces MOC’s innovative, community-based model of oncology care designed to bring state-of-the-art, affordable cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes.

MOC Cancer Care and Research Centre Strengthens Its Network in Pune
The Baner facility aims to minimize treatment delays, enhance adherence, and ease the cost burden on patients and their families.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the MOC management team and leading oncologists and hemato-oncologists including Dr Liza Bulsara, Dr Mangesh Mekha, Dr Nikhil Shirsi, Dr Reshma Puranik, and Dr Shweta Lunkad.
Cancer has become a critical public health concern in India, driven by genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) estimates over 14 lakh cancer cases in 2023, with projections suggesting a surge to 2.98 million by 2025.
Pune and its surrounding regions have also witnessed a consistent rise in cancer incidence, underlining the need for accessible oncology care infrastructure.

Comprehensive Cancer Care at MOC Baner
Speaking at the launch, Dr Tushar Patil, Senior Cancer Physician at MOC Baner, said, “With each new cancer centre we open, we strive to make the journey of cancer patients in India more convenient and accessible.”
MOC Baner will offer an integrated range of services for both solid organ and hematological cancers, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and advanced modalities such as Molecular and Precision Oncology, Cellular Therapy, and Bone Marrow Transplant.
The centre also provides personalized home care support to assist patients through every stage of their treatment journey.
